Biography of M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar

M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar ( Mayavaram Krishnamurthy Thyagaraja Bhagavathar ) was an Tamil Film Actor , Producer and Carnatic Singer . He was Accepted as the First Super Star of Tamil Film Industry . He Acted in 14 Tamil Film's in which 6 was Block Buster Movie's . 

Early Life :

M.K.T.Bhagavathar was born in Mayiladuthurai in Tanjor District of TamilNadu on March 7th of 1901. During his Childwood Bhagavathar is Interested in Singing , but his Father Opposed it and wanted him to Concentrate on his Studies . But Afterward's  Knowing about his Son's Skills his Father Accepted him to become an Singer .He had six-year training in Carnatic music from Madurai Ponnu Iyengar, an acclaimed violinist.

Stage Actor :

F.G.Natesa Iyer, a railway officer with South Indian Railways, Trichy and the founder of an amateur theater group, Rasika Ranjana Sabha, is credited with introducing Thyagaraja to the stage. One story is that he heard Thyagaja singing at a bhajan. Impressed with his talent, F.G.Natesa Iyer offered him the role of Lohitadasa in his play Harischandra; with the permission of Thyagaraja's father. Thyagaraja, who was ten at the time, agreed, and the play was a success. 

Acting Career :

M.K.Thiyagaraja Bhagavathar Started his Acting Career in 1934 through an Hindu Mythology Film Pavalakodi in which he Played role of Arjuna . This Film was Directed by K.Subramaniyam . This film was a Great hit which made the same director to direct another Movie with Bhagavathar , the film was named as Naveena Sarangadhara and released n 1935 .

Totally M.K.Thiyagaraja Bhagavathar Played 14 Movies out of Which 6 Movies was Block Buster Movies in Tamil Film Industry . Especialy the Movie Haridas released in 1944 ran for three Consecutive years in Broadway Theater thus it was the First Movie to Run for Consecutive Three Years .
